
MATTHEW S. LENTZ
Mr. Matthew S. Lentz, 72, of 2100 Adams, formerly of 1318 North 10th St., died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday (September 11, 2005) in Blessing Hospital.
Born July 9, 1933 in Quincy, Mr. Lentz was the son of Nicholas and Olivia Peter Lentz. He married Wanda Joann Allensworth on January 11, 1969 in Quincy. She survives.
Mr. Lentz attended Rock Church. He was a loving and caring husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and being outdoors doing yardwork and gardening
Mr. Lentz farmed for many years in the Burton area and was a truck driver for Huck Fixtures for 22 years, retiring in 1995.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda; two daughters, Jane Keller and her husband Brian of Payson and Krista Deeter and her husband Brad of Quincy; a son, Brent Lentz; five grandchildren, Jason, Amie and Brandon Keller, Ashley Deeter and Sydney Zeller; two brothers, Herbert Lentz and his wife Mildred and Robert Lentz and his wife Betty both of Quincy; three sisters, Pauline Meyer of Liberty, Ida Ruth Snow and her husband Lewis of rural Quincy and Mary Louise Billeter and her husband Dale of Fowler; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Lentz was preceded in death by his parents; his step father, Lawrence Ehrhardt; a sister, Dorothy Lentz; and two brothers in infancy.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Pastor Joel Hulett and Pastor Bryan Meado. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 and Wednesday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.
