MICHAEL A. McCALLISTER

Mr. Michael A. McCallister, 48, of Hannibal, Missouri, formerly of Payson, died at 12:57 p.m. Tuesday (March 13, 2007) in Hannibal Regional Hospital.

Born July 6, 1958 in Hannibal, Missouri, Michael was the son of Leslie and Bonnie Hull McCallister. He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Michael served his country in the U. S. Navy for 8 years and then in the U. S. Army for 4 years. He also was employed as a welder for Trinity Industries and Knapheide Manufacturing and as a mechanic for Hadler International in Quincy.

Survivors include a son, Michael J. Edwards; two step sons, Kerry D. Talburt and Jamie L. Talburt; a step daughter, Tatiana M. Talburt; three grandchildren, Michael J. Edwards II, Elisbeth Edwards and Zackary Edwards; four step grandchildren, Kerry D. Talburt II, Sheridan V. Talburt, Nathaniel J. Mayfield and Jonathan D. Mayfield; a sister, Judith Davis; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mr. McCallister was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; and a niece.

Graveside services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 in Shiloh Cemetery near Plainville, Illinois by the Rev. Ron Cox. Payson V.F.W Post 2061 will conduct Military Honors.

Visitation will be Friday afternoon from 1:00 to 1:45 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Payson.
