MILDRED "MICKEY" McELWEE

Mrs. Mildred F. "Mickey" McElwee, 83, of Camp Point, formerly of 1612 Cedar, Quincy, died at 1:30 a.m. Friday (February 9, 2007) in her home.

Born March 18, 1923 in Frankford, Missouri, Mildred was the daughter of Henry Richard and Lessie Leona Fisher Perry. She married Harold D. "Mac" McElwee on July 26, 1941 in Hannibal, Missouri. He died March 13, 2005.

Mickey was a member of Central Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and embroidery and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include a son, Perry McElwee and his wife Lenore of Camp Point, IL.; four grandchildren, James Dean McElwee and his wife Stephanie of Kansas City, MO., Randy Dean McElwee and his wife Angie of Monmouth, IL., Teri DeAnn McElwee of Quincy, IL. and Susan Lynn McElwee Stopher of Golden, IL.; four great grandchildren, Cherokee Rose Stopher and Isaiah Thomas McElwee both of Golden, IL. and Josie Marie McElwee and Jacob Tyler McElwee both of Monmouth, IL.; a step grandchild, Stormy Rose Gonzales of Kansas City, MO.; a brother, Milo Perry and his wife Edna of Palmyra, MO.; two sisters, Laurel Bush of New London, MO. and Helen Miller of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. McElwee was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, William Perry.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 in Cental Baptist Church by the Rev. Ivan Greuter and Rev. Brien Sims. Burial will be in New Providence Cemetery near Ursa.

Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home and Tuesday morning from 9:00 until the time of services at Central Baptist Church.
