MONA LEE WILLIAMS

Miss Mona Lee Williams, 69, of the Sycamore Health Care Center, died at 11:45 a.m. Friday (October 27, 2006) in Blessing Hospital.

Born May 13, 1937 in Quincy, Mona Lee was the daughter of Archie Homer and Wilhelmina Pfaffe Williams.

Mona Lee served her country as a Specialist Fourth Class with the Women's Army Corps (WAC). She enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with her family and friends.

Mona Lee was employed at Samsonite Luggage in Denver, Colorado until moving back to Quincy where she worked for 25 years in housekeeping at Blessing Hospital until her retirement.

Surviving is a brother, Charles E. "Charlie" Williams and his wife Donna of Quincy; three sisters, Rebecca Nelson of Quincy, Betty Pulliam and her husband Jay of St. Charles, MO. and Pat Pattara of Chicago Ridge, IL.; a brother in law, Fred Williams of Mumford, TN.; a sister in law, Marie Williams of Quincy; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Miss Williams was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Virgil Williams, George Williams and Archie Williams; a sister, Maudine Williams; and a brother in law, Sonny Nelson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Bryan Meado. Burial with Military Honors by Quincy American Legion Post 37 will be in Quincy Memorial Park.

Visitation will be Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 and Tuesday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.
