NADINE NUPP
Mrs. Kathryn Nadine Nupp, 72, of West Point, Illinois, died at 4:20 p.m. Friday (September 30, 2005) in University Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa.
Born January 11, 1933 in Quincy, Nadine was the daughter of Otis and Alta L. Mowen Deming. She married Floyd Nupp who preceded her in death on September 5, 1996.
Nadine enjoyed outdoor activities, especially gardening and fishing, but her greatest joy came in spending time with her grandchildren. She also had a great love for her cat, Whiskers.
Nadine was employed at the University of Iowa as a custodian in the Physical Plant for 9 years until her retirement.
Survivors include her son, Gary Stephens and his wife Patricia of Houston, TX.; two grandchildren, Holly Christine Stephens and Jeffrey Stephens both of Houston, TX.; two brothers, Eldon Deming and his wife Linda of Loraine, IL. and Lonnie Deming and his wife Patty of Camp Point, IL.; three sisters, Gladys Norris of Columbus, IL., Darlene Stephens and Judy Smith both of Camp Point, IL.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Nupp was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Elmo Deming; and two sisters, Alice Mae Mixer and Naomi Pate.
Memorial services will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson
Funeral Home by the Rev. Oliver F. Taube. Private Inurnment will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday morning from 10:15 until the time of services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
