
NADINE PRYOR
Mrs. G. Nadine Pryor, 80, of 2046 Sycamore, died at 8:17 a.m. Tuesday (February 7, 2006) in Blessing Hospital.
Born June 25, 1925 in Seligman, Missouri, Nadine was the daughter of James Columbus and Evelyn Beaver Dawson. She married Willis V. "Bill" Pryor on March 27, 1943 in Selinas, California. He survives.
Nadine was an active member of Central Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She had also been a Cub Scout leader. Nadine was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting and gardening.
Nadine was employed as a cook at Jackson School for many years until her retirement.
Surviving are her husband, Bill; two daughters, Carolyn Sue Schroder and her husband Larry of Maywood, MO. and Jane E. Pryor and her husband Scott Eide of Avon, MN.; two sons, John E. Pryor of Quincy and Thomas W. Pryor and his wife Terry of Springfield, IL.; four grandchildren, Michael T. Pryor of Springfield, IL., Kenneth J. Arrowsmith and his wife Lori of Quincy, Penny S. Arrowsmith of Akron, OH. and Noah Eide of Avon, MN.; four great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; four sisters, Verda Scott and her husband Jimmy of Carthage, MO., Marge Buttry and her husband Charles of Decatur, AR., Norma Holloway and her husband Earl of Gravette, AR. and Ruby Duncan of Gravette, AR.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Pryor was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Mary Pruitt; and four brothers, George Dawson, Cleve Dawson, Everett Dawson and Lindsey Dawson.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 in the the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Wayne Lock and Rev. Tom Henderson. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
There will be no visitation, but friends are invited to the services.
Memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church, New Beginnings Evangelical Free Church or the Salvation Army.
