NORMA JEAN KING

Mrs. Norma Jean King, 78, of Centralia, Missouri, died December 29, 2006 at Pin Oaks Nursing Center in Mexico, Missouri.

Born December 28, 1928 in Quincy, Illinois, Norma was the daughter of James Kenneth and Eleanor Louise Schultz Arrowsmith. She married Cecil H. King on June 13, 1948. He survives.

Norma was a member of the First Baptist Church in Centralia, Missouri where she taught the Sunday School Class for children ages two and three. She was also a member of Artists Photographers Association in Quincy. Cecil and Norma enjoyed teaching together the Teenagers Sunday School Class at the Central Baptist Church in Quincy while living there. She was a devoted homemaker, artist and assistant to Cecil in his photography profession.

Also surviving two daughters, Annetta Ross and her husband Nelson and Leah King, both of Amant, LA.; two sons, Steven King and his wife Terry of Centralia, MO. and James King and his wife Connie of Conyers, GA.; nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; a brother, Robert Arrowsmith of Fowler; three sisters, Betty Turner, Ruth Hill and Marjorie Gerst, all of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Kenneth Arrowsmith, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Rev. Charles Ross. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday afternoon from 12:30 until the time of services at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.
