OLLIE FRANCES WAACK

Mrs. Ollie F. Waack, 100, of Good Samaritan Home, formerly of 437 North 30th St., died at 5:35 p.m. Thursday (March 2, 2006) in the home.

Born June 24, 1905 near Fall Creek in Adams County, Illinois, Ollie was the daughter of John and Sarah Lightle Marshall. She married George J. Waack on September 1, 1923 in Quincy. He died January 16, 1996.

Mrs. Waack was a member of the Payson Congregational Church, the Church Women's Fellowship and served as a Sunshine Chairman. Ollie always looked forward to helping with the church's annual fall dinner. At age 93, Ollie sold over 100 tickets to the church dinner.She was also a member of AARP, the Senior Citizens Center, Good Samaritan Home Auxiliary,Order White Shrine Jerusalem Mariam Shrine #3, Payson Chapter Order of Eastern Star #375 of which she was a three time past Worthy Matron. Ollie loved life and loved to help others by volunteering with the Blessing Hospital Auxillary and working in the tearoom.

Surviving is her granddaughter, Pam Samantha Schor and her husband Peter of Lincoln, CA.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, George Alvin Waack; six brothers, Rollie, Wernie, Clarence, Stanley, Elmer and Emmett Marshall; and three sisters, Stella Kaufmann, Ethel Marshall and Lettie Bail.

A Celebration of Ollie's life will be held Saturday morning (March 11, 2006) at 11:00 in the Payson Congregational Church by Rev. Rick Welch and Chaplain Steve Disseler. Burial will be in the Payson New Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday morning from 10:00 until the time of services at the church. The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
