ORVILLE W. DOSIER

Mr. Orville W. Dosier, 68, of Williamstown, Missouri, died at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday (December 30, 2009) in Blessing Hospital.

Born January 12, 1941 in Lewis County, Missouri, Orville was the son of Elmer James and Dorothy Bringer Dosier. He married Shirley R. Eyler on October 7, 1962 in the Monticello Methodist Church in Monticello, Missouri. She survives.

Orville accepted Christ in the Monticello Methodist Church. His greatest joy came in spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Mr. Dosier farmed for many years in Lewis County. He previously was employed at the Dennis Chicken Factory and Lucie Farms in Augusta, Illinois and at Gardner Denver Company and Davis Cleaver in Quincy.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley; two daughters, Rhonda Wade and her husband Clifford and Michelle Crandall and her husband Andrew both of Ewing, MO; a son, Thomas Dosier of Palmyra, MO and his fiance' Susan Marra of Canton, MO; five grandchildren, Faith Wade, Hope Wade, Alex Dosier, Marcus Dosier and Karli Crandall; a sister, Virgie Hocraffer and her husband Harold of Canton, MO; a half brother, Jim Dosier and his wife Pauline of Lewistown, MO; a half sister, Norma Brocksmith of LaGrange, MO; a brother in law, Robert Eyler and his wife Dorothy of Florida; two sisters in law, Kathryn McCullough and her husband Larry of Canton, MO and Lucille Kessler of Lewistown, MO; and many loving nieces and nephews.

Mr. Dosier was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Faylene Baker and Karen Huff; and a brother in law, Donald Kessler.

Graveside services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 in Greenmount Cemetery by Pastor Paul Kinney.

Visitation will be Saturday from 12:00 Noon until 1:15 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Quincy.

Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or the Ronald McDonald House in St. Louis, MO.
