OWEN DONALD LIERMAN

Mr. Owen Donald Lierman, 80, of 2204 Cherry Lane Estates, died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday (October 16, 2005) at St. Mary's Hospital (Part of the Mayo Clinic Complex), in Rochester, MN.

He was born September 4, 1925 in Bloomington, IL. the son of Florence and Frederic Lierman. On September 26, 1953 he married Norma Jean Gille in Quincy. She survives, as do children Ruthanne and husband Steve, and Don and wife Louise and their five children. One brother Glen and his wife Helen also survive.

Owen graduated from the University of Illinois in 1951 with a Juris Doctorate degree which lead to a career as an attorney and judge in Quincy and later in Springfield Illinois.

He was a member of the New Beginning Evangelical Free church here in Quincy. His faith was the primary focus of his life. Owen was a member of Golden K and two local professional turtuleas which meet to discuss and debate Quincy life and politics. He was a World War II U.S. Air Force veteran where he served as a B-29 bomber navigator.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Evert.

Visitation will be held Thursday afternoon from 2:00 until 5:00 at the Quincy location of Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.

Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
