PATRICK LEO KIPPING

Mr. Patrick Leo Kipping 74, of 13 Michael Drive, Heath, Texas, formerly of Quincy, died at 2:30 a.m. Saturday (November 12, 2005) in the Beacon Harbor Rehabilitation Center in Rowlett, Texas.

Born March 17, 1931 in Quincy, Patrick was the son of Leo and Ruth Hoffman Kipping. He married Patsy L. Masters on November 5, 1960 at St. Francis Church in Quincy. She survives.

Mr. Kipping attended St. Francis Catholic Church and was a member of the Quincy American Legion Post #37. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.

A graduate of Quincy Notre Dame High School, Mr. Kipping worked for Gates Radio before he and his brother in law owned and operated the Kipping Feed Service. He also was employed as a driver and salesman for the Beeson Beverage Company and worked a bartender at the North Side Boat Club and the VFW until his retirement in 1982.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy; two sons, Joseph "Joe" Kipping and his wife B'elle of Rockwall, TX, and Anthony "Tony" Kipping of Heath, TX; three grandchildren, Erik Kipping of Rockwall, TX, Michael Trudnak and his wife Jennifer of Apex, NC., Melissa Trudnak of Fate, TX; two great grandchildren, Elizabeth Trudnak of Fate, TX, and Kayla Trudnak of Apex, NC; three brothers, Thomas Kipping and his wife Sarah of Springfield, MO, William "Bill" Kipping and his wife Vickie of Quincy, and Daniel Kipping and his wife Pam of Temple, TX; two sisters, Patricia Vilsick of Quincy; and Nancy Peter and her husband Clarence of Panama Beach, FL.

Mr. Kipping was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Wayne "Bud" and Lloyd "Joe" Kipping and two sisters, Deloris "Dollie" Recksieck and an infant sister Ruth Kipping.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 in the Sunset Cemetery by the Rev. James Wheeler. Quincy American Legion Post 37 will conduct Military Honors at the cemetery.

There will be no visitation, but friends are invited to the services. The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
