PATSY R. NEWBANKS
Mrs. Patsy R. Newbanks, 63, of 611 Country Club Heights, died at 7:10 p.m. Saturday (October 29, 2005) in Blessing Hospital.
Born March 19, 1942 in Bell City, Missouri, Patsy was the daughter of Frank Sollie and Mary Elizabeth Burns Lowe. She was married to Carl E. Bell.
Patsy was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Quincy V.F.W. Auxiliary and was a member of the Booster Club of the Flying Dutchman Drum and Bugle Corps. She enjoyed crocheting and arts and crafts, but her greatest joy came when she was with her children and grandchildren.
Patsy was employed at Motorola until their closing and then as a waitress at Quincy Country Club for many years. She then worked as a C.N.A. in Colorado Springs, Colorado until moving back to Quincy.
Surviving is a daughter, Mary Newbanks and her husband George L., V of Quincy; two sons, Randall E. Bell and his wife Angela of Crawfordsville, IN. and Francis A. Bell and his wife Gayle of San Antonio, TX.; nine grandchildren, Elleina Glassford and her fiance' Bert Jeffry, George L. Newbanks, VI and Carlene S. Newbanks all of Quincy, Noah R. Miller and his fiance' Vicki of Red Bud, IL., Mathew R. Koester of Covington, LA., Karrie E. Koester, Brandy C. K. Bell, Shelby J. Bell and Jennifer L. Bell all of Crawfordsville, IN.; three great granddaughters; five brothers, Sam Lowe and his wife June of Carlsbad, CA., Robert Lowe and his wife Linda of Lomax, IL., Jim Lowe and his wife Alice of Rockford, IL., Ray Lowe and his wife Di of Mt. Pleasant, IA. and Jerry Lowe and his wife Snooks of Carthage, IL.; two sisters, Jean Freeman and her husband Gary of Carthage, IL. and Ann Londrie and her husband Max of Washington, IL.; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Frank D. Reddick of Quincy.
Mrs. Newbanks was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Opal Virginia Lowe in infancy.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 in New Providence Cemetery near Ursa by the Rev. John Carberry.
Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home in Quincy.
