PAULINE PHILIPS

Mrs. Pauline Philips, 98, of Sarasota, Florida, formerly of Quincy, died at 11:00 p.m. Sunday (February 5, 2006) in Sarasota, Florida.

Born September 11, 1907 in Adams County, Illinois, Pauline was the daughter of George H. and Fannie Lee Baldwin Underbrink. She married Virgil Philips on June 16, 1926 in Quincy. He died September 15, 1984.

Pauline was a member of Vermont Street United Methodist Church, Kum Dubel Sunday School Class and the United Methodist Women. She was a graduate of Quincy High School, a member of the Women's City Club, Quincy Study Club and various bridge clubs in Quincy.

Surviving is a daughter, Gwen Richardson and her husband William of Palos Verdes, CA.; a son, Richard R. Philips and his wife Betty of Sarasota, FL.; seven grandchildren, Mark Philips of Vicksburg, MS., Paul Philips and his wife Sue of Thousand Oaks, CA., Keith Richardson and his wife Eileen of San Diego, CA., John Richardson of Laguna Niguel, CA., Janet Richardson of Los Angeles, CA., William Richardson of Cleavland, OH. area, and Mickie Williams and her husband Scott of Lake Oswego, OR.; six great grandchildren; two nephews, Jack Roth and his wife Maggie of Quincy and Jack Underbrink and his wife Brenda of Belleville, IL.; and three nieces, Joyce Yonkers and her husband John of Portage, MI., Sharon McCollum of Quincy and Karen Moran and her husband John of Bridgeton, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Claude and Harold Underbrink; two sisters, Ora L. Vail and Mildred I. Roth; and one nephew, Alan Underbrink.

Graveside services will be held Friday morning at 11:00 in Greenmount Cemetery by Rev. Lou Zuck.

Visitation will be held Friday morning from 10:00 until 10:45 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.
