PEGGY STORMER

Margaret “Peggy” Elizabeth Fluharty Stormer, 70, of Wilma Sigmon Rd., Lincolnton, North Carolina, died Sunday (June 21, 2009) at Valley Nursing Center in Taylorsville, North Carolina. Peggy is the wife of Quincy native, Aaron “Coley” Stormer.

Born November 29, 1938 in Guilford County, Peggy was the daughter of William Barry and Dorothy Jones Fluharty, Jr. She married Aaron “Coley” Stormer on October 4, 1974 in Asheville, North Carolina. He survives.

A 1956 graduate of Lee H. Edwards High School in Asheville, NC, Peggy was retired from Bank of America after 38 years of service in the Charlotte area where she was Vice President Of Trusts and Securities. She will be remembered as a loving Daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Aaron “Coley” Stormer; two sons: Michael ”Mickey” Johnson and wife Judy of Maiden, NC and Jeffrey and wife Janet of Lincolnton, NC; two sisters, Dorothy “Dottie” Clyatt of Augusta, GA and Anne B. Fluharty of Carey NC; and three grandchildren, Taylor Johnson, Kathryn Johnson, and Elizabeth Ann Johnson; and a sister in law, Joyce Stormer Settle and her husband Jack.

Mrs. Stormer was preceded in death by her parents; and her father in law and mother in law, Aaron and Marjorie Stormer.

A Celebration of life and worship service will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jerry Campbell officiating.
