RANDALL "RANDY" RIGGS

Randall "Randy" Riggs, 46, of 619 South 7th, went home to be with his lord at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday (November 20, 2007) in his home.

Born August 18, 1961 in Quincy, Randy was the son of Vernon and Joyce Allen Riggs. He enjoyed doing crafts, gardening, and had served his country in the United States Army.

Randy was employed as a bartender and waiter at various restaurants in Quincy until his retirement due to ill health.

Survivors include his parents Vernon Riggs and his wife Donna of Quincy, his mother Joyce Riggs of Quincy, three brothers Marty and his wife Kelli, Scott and his wife Sarah, and Michael and his wife Becky; a sister Penny Swanson and her husband Tim all of Quincy; also surviving are four nephews Brandon Riggs, Derek Swanson, Douglas Swanson, and Christopher Riggs all of Quincy; five nieces Misty Riutzel and her husband David of Fowler, IL, Krista Riggs of Peoria, Jessica Werner and her husband Jared of Quincy, Jenna Riggs of Quincy, a great niece Elaine Riutzel of Fowler; and his friend Chris Vahle of Quincy.

Mr. Riggs was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Robert Riggs Sr. and his wife Helen and his maternal grandparents Wilbur Allen and Dorothy Sapp, a brother Timothy L. Riggs, and a nephew Timothy S. Riggs.

Graveside services will be held Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. in Greenmount Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Cook officiating.

There will be no visitation but friends are invited to the graveside services. The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
