RODNEY M. BELDEN

Mr. Rodney M. Belden, 56, of 719 S. 12th St., died at 3:35 a.m. Wednesday (August 30, 2006) in Blessing Hospital.

Born February 21, 1950 in Quincy, Rodney was the son of Arthur Mason and Gladys Cavanaugh Belden.

Mr. Belden was employed at Electric Wheel division of Firestone for nine years and then as the second shift manager at Titan Wheel for 10 years.

Rodney enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking and doing crafts. He also enjoyed playing the guitar and singing.

Survivors include a long time companion Joan Francis and her six children of Quincy; two sons, Tim Belden and Rodney L. Belden both of Quincy; a daughter, Ashley Belden of Quincy; a step son, Doug Austin and his wife Peggy of Quincy; two grandchildren, Sarah Belden and Lora Belden both of Fowler; and fifteen step grandchildren; two sisters, Gay Andrew and her husband Bernie of Loraine, and Kas Moellring and her husband Melvin of Coatsburg. Also surviving are six nieces, two great nieces and four great nephews.

Mr. Belden was preceded in death by his parents and one step son Dean Austin.

Graveside services are pending.
