
RONALD M. ALTHEIDE SR.
Mr. Ronald M. Altheide Sr., 65, of Fowler, died at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday (March 8, 2006) in his home.
Born March 16, 1940, in Beaumont, TX., Ronald was the son of Robert L. and and Wilmena Clow Altheide Sr. He married Roberta Weiske on March 11, 1995 in Key Largo, FL. She survives.
Ronald was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was also a pet lover and enjoyed spending time with his seven Boston Terriers.
Mr. Altheide was employed in the construction business and also worked for the City of Quincy for many years. He later moved to Florida where he retired as a security guard in 1996.
Also surviving is his mother, Wilmena Altheide of Quincy; two daughters; one son; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers, Richard S. Altheide and his wife Akemi of Angier, NC. and Robert L. Altheide Jr. of Fowler; two sisters, Vicky Spindler and her husband Tom of Bartlett, IL. and Tina Hall and her husband Roger of Pittsfield; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and one brother in infancy.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Rev. Larry Connour. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 at the funeral home.
