RONALD D. HOMAN

Mr. Ronald D. Homan, 73, of 206 Pine Street, Ursa, died at 4:54 a..m. Sunday (September 18, 2005) in the emergency room of Blessing Hospital.

Born April 12, 1932 in Adams County, Mr.Homan was the son of Orville and Inez Egan Homan. He married Lee Dedert on May 28, 1955 in Quincy. She survives.

Mr. Homan was a member of Grandview Church and the American Home Builders Association. He enjoyed woodworking and going to auctions, and especially loved being with his family. He served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Homan was a self employed construction contractor until his retirement. He also farmed for many years in Ellington Township.

Survivors include his wife, Lee; his mother, Inez Homan of Mendon; four daughters, Ronna Alaniz and her husband Randy of Ballwin, MO., Robyn Akers and her husband Grayling and Renee Porter and her husband Doug both of Quincy and Rachelle Hayward and her husband Brad of San Diego, CA.; seven grandchildren, Randall Alaniz and Rachel Alaniz both of Ballwin, MO., Toshia Akers, Trevor Akers, Julie Porter and Jennifer Porter all of Quincy and Colin Hayward of San Diego, CA.; two sisters, Dorothy Lair and her husband C. W. and Pat Aschemann both of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Homan was preceded in death by his father, Orville; a brother, Charles Homan; and a brother in law, Orville Aschemann.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Pastor Dennis Thomas. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Gilmer Township.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Wednesday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.
