
RONALD R. WORMAN
Mr. Ronald R. Worman, 79, of 1444 Wormans Road in Quincy died at 6:45 a.m. Thursday (February 28, 2008) in Blessing Hospital
Born November 16, 1928 in Golden, Illinois, Ronald was the son of Samuel and Jenny Aden Worman.
Mr. Worman was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Golden, a life member of North Side Boat Club and a member of U.A.W. Local 201 where he served as a Trustee on the Board. In his early years, Ron enjoyed playing softball. He was a die hard Cubs Fan and an avid hunter and fisherman who loved working in his yard and socializing with his friends and neighbors.
Mr. Worman worked with his father at Worman's Dairy in Golden until they closed. He then was employed as a set-up man at Electric Wheel, a division of Firestone Tire & Rubber for 32 years until his retirement. Ron also owned and operated Worman's Trailor Park for 15 years. After selling the business he continued to manage J & L Mobile Home Park.
Survivors include a son, Timothy Worman and his wife Allison of Springfield, IL.; a daughter, Judy Conover and her husband Loren of Quincy; a grandson, Troy Conover and his companion Trisha Goodwin of Quincy; two sisters, Imogene Smith and her husband Lester and Phyllis Osborne both of Golden; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mr. Worman was preceded in death by his parents; and his twin sister, Donna Ideus.
Graveside services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2:00 in Greenmount Cemetery by Dan Wilson, LLM.
Visitation will be Saturday afternoon from 1:00 until 1:50 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the North Adams Home, Quincy Humane Society or the charity of the donor's choice.
