
ROSE MARY AUSMUS
Mrs. Rose Mary Ausmus, 80, of Sterling, Illinois, formerly of Quincy, died at 7:30 p.m. Thursday (January 25, 2007) in her home.
Born April 27, 1926 in her home at 2710 Elm Street in Quincy, Rose Mary was the daughter of John Ludwig and Anna Rose Lelia Wurtz Beckman. She married Thelbert Glen Ausmus on October 13, 1946 in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Quincy by the late Rev. E. J. Otto.
While living in Quincy, Mrs.Ausmus was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and was in the first class confirmed by Pastor Otto in 1941. She enjoyed reading the Bible, working on her geneology, scrap booking and collecting antiques. Rose Mary was a devoted wife and mother.
Surviving is her husband, Glen of Sterling, IL.; a daughter, Alice Mary Ausmus of Sterling; a brother Eugene John Beckman and his wife Darlene formerly of Quincy; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ausmus was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Elmer Clarence Beckman; and three sisters, Gladys Ruth Beckman, Florence Rosie Beckman and Valinda Elsie Tournear of Liberty.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Larry Troxel. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday afternoon from 12:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.
Rose Mary requested no flowers, but to honor her memorials may be given to the Rose Mary Ausmus Memorial Fund.
