RUTH E. OHNEMUS

Ruth E. Ohnemus, 86, of 815 North 6th, Quincy, died at 11:56 a.m. Tuesday (December 8, 2009) in her home.

Born November 6, 1923 in Loraine, Illinois, Ruth was the daughter of Elmer and Ruth Simon Littleton. She married Earl C. Ohnemus in Quincy. He preceded her in death in 1999.

Ruth was a former member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. She enjoyed camping, gardening and being outdoors. Devoted to her family, Ruth cherished the time she spent with them.

Ruth was employed in the laundry department at the Illinois Veteran's Home for over 30 years until her retirement.

Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Moore and her husband Lawrence of Camp Point, IL; a son, Harold Robinson and his wife Karen of Quincy; three grandchildren, Tana Koetters and her husband William, Denise Tournear and Craig Robinson all of Quincy; and three great grandchildren, Brady Tournear, Pamela Robinson and Dakota Robinson.

Mrs. Ohnemus was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Earl.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. John Kennedy. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday afternoon from1:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.
