RUTH ELIZABETH ROWSEY
Mrs. Ruth Rowsey, 86, of the St. Vincent's Home, died at 12:25 a.m. Friday (June 3, 2005) in the Home.
Born April 16, 1919 in Quincy, Ruth was the daughter of Jacob and Clara Nothold Gauch. She married Ralph Rowsey on August 21, 1936 in Philadelphia, Missouri. He died in 1989.
Mrs. Rowsey was employed as a waitress for several years at Kresge's and Walgreen's until her retirement.
Surviving is a daughter, Donna Allensworth and her husband Bob of Liberty; five grandchildren, Bill Embree and his wife Kathy of Grand Prairie, TX., Tom Embree of Florence, CO., Neola Cramer and her husband Greg of Palmyra, MO., Audra Parsons and her husband Robert of Liberty and Bob Moore and his wife Kim of Tiskwala, IL.; and seven great grandchildren Tim Embree and Tom Embree of Quincy; Amanda Embree of Joplin, MO. Richard Parsons of Liberty, Joe Moore and Jerimea Moore of Tiskwala, IL. and Carrie Moore of Springfield, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Richard and Billy Rowsey and an infant son Joseph Rowsey.
Cremation rites were accorded to Mrs. Rowsey. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date.
