
SALLY CARLSON
Mrs. Sally Carlson, 60, of 3414 North Brennan Drive, died at 2:25 a.m. Friday (January14, 2005) at Blessing Hospital.
.Born February 16, 1944 in Carrollton, Illinois, Sally was the daughter of Felix and Peggy Abbott Beauchamp. She married Roger R. Carlson on April 14, 1962 in Jerseyville, Illinois. He survives.
Sally enjoyed traveling and was an avid reader who loved to study Civil War History. She was also an avid basketball fan, following the Quincy Blue Devils and Quincy University Hawks, and in more recent years the Highland High School Cougars, watching her grandson play.
Sally had been employed by the Little Folks Shop in the Quincy Mall for several years and was currently the Men's Department Manager at Wal-Mart, where she has worked for the last 13 years.
Survivors include her husband, Roger; two sons, Lance Carlson and his wife Robin of Quincy and Chad Carlson of Quincy; a daughter, Peggy Carlson of Quincy; five grandchildren, Zachary Carlson of Columbia, MO. and Brianne Carlson, Natalie Carlson, Marcus Ayers and Whitney Ayers all of Quincy; her mother in law, Elva Carlson of Quincy; her step mother, Ardell Hayden of Alton; two brothers, Gregory Beauchamp and his wife Sherry of Jerseyville, IL. and Dick Beauchamp of Alton, IL.; two sisters, Terri Norman of Godfrey, IL. and Connie Beauchamp of Peoria, IL.; a sister in law, Gail Beauchamp of Fargo, N.D.; a brother in law, Everett Carlson Jr. and his wife Marlene of Quincy; and several nieces , nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mrs. Carlson was preceded in death by her parents; her step father, Calvin Powell; a grandson, Anthony Carlson; a brother, Felix "Brownie" Beauchamp; and her father in law, Everett Carlson Sr.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Pastor Brett Beauchamp. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday evening from 3:00 to 6:00 and Monday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.
