SHIRLEY L. DILLEY

Mrs. Shirley L. Dilley, 79, of 2114 Adams, died at 2:10 p.m. Tuesday (November 13, 2007) in Blessing Hospital.

Born August 3, 1928 in Quincy, Shirley was the daughter of Otis E. and Elnora Norma DeMoss McKenna. She married George H. Dilley on December 10, 1950 in Quincy. He preceded her in death on March 6, 1999.

Shirley was a member of Central Baptist Church, Adams County Farm Bureau, Machinist Lodge #822 retirees and was acitve with the P.T.A. and Boy Scouts of America. She enjoyed handcrafts, camping and being outdoors but loved to be with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Shirley was employed as a sales clerk for K-Mart for 15 years. She retired in 1987.

Survivors include two sons, Everett Lee Dilley and his wife Lisa of Quincy and Richard Oren Dilley and his wife Cynthia of Urbandale, IA.; four grandchildren, Angela Dilley and Ashley Dilley both of Quincy and Andrew Dilley and Catherine Dilley both of Urbandale, IA.; a brother C. Dean McKenna and his wife Norma of Quincy; a sister, Madeline Miller of Quincy; a brother in law, Russell Gehring of St. Cloud Fl.; a sister in law, Emiko McKenna of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Dilley was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George; a brother, Otis J. McKenna; a sister, Patricia Gehring; and a nephew.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Ivan Greuter. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday afternoon from 1:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabets Association or the Shriner's Children's Hospital.
