SHIRLEY J. HARKER

Mrs. Shirley J. Harker, 67, of 523 Adams, died at 6:00 p.m. Saturday (April 2, 2005) in the Pittsfield Manor Nursing Home in Pittsfield.

Born January 27, 1938 in Quincy, Shirley was the daughter of James and Armindia Rodgers Daugherty. She married Kenneth G. Harker Sr. on August 29, 1953 in Quincy. He died January 29, 1984.

Shirley devoted her life to her family and found her greatest joy in the time she spent with her grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Harker Jr. and his wife Janie and Norman Harker both of Quincy and Ron Harker of Philadelphia, MO.; three daughters, Rebecca Hull and her husband Wendall of Griggsville, IL. and Vicki Wiechert and Cheryl Lynn Harker both of Quincy; eight grandchildren, Melissa Hull and Bradley Hull both of Griggsville, IL., Jeffrey White and Jason White both of Pittsfield, IL., Kenneth Hoelscher of Florida, and Lacy Stevenson, Abigail Harker and Ron Harker II all of Quincy; two step grandchildren, April Baker and Brandon Baker both of Quincy; a great granddaughter, Breanna Jaylynn Harker of Quincy; a brother, Larry Bartlet of Tempe, AZ.; a sister, Norma Potter of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Harker was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Roger Hucklenbrick.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. L. D. Grant.

Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon from 12:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army.
