
STANLEY B. HIBBARD JR.
Mr. Stanley B. Hibbard Jr., 88, of Sycamore Healthcare Centre, formerly of 1923 Ohio, died at 9:40 p.m. Friday (April 20, 2007) in the home.
Born May 14, 1918 in Payson, Stanley was the son of Stanley and Ava Buell Hibbard Sr. He married Avis Kelly on March 11, 1939 in Ft. Madison, Iowa. She died November 21, 1980. He then married Faye Louderback on July 25, 1981 in Quincy. She survives.
Mr. Hibbard was an active member of Madison Park Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling throughout the United States, and wintering in Arizona. He was an active volunteer for R.S.V.P. driving over 7000 miles for them from April of 2003 to January of 2004.
Stanley farmed in the Beverly community and then was employed as a dock foreman and truck driver for Knapheide Manufacturing for 32 years until his retirement in 1980.
Also surviving is a step daughter, Patricia Crumrine and her husband Ray of Quincy; three step grandchildren, Jennifer Crumrine of Hampshire, IL., Travis Crumrine and his wife Teri of Las Vegas, NV., and David Crumrine of Quincy; a brother, Eldon J. Hibbard and his wife Sally of Quincy; two sisters, Maxine Jenkins and Mary Wuestenfeld and her husband Dale, both of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife; a brother, C. Donald Hibbard; and two sisters, Margaret Vahlkamp and Irene Ehrhardt.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Pastor Keith Ehresman. Burial will be in Mound Prairie Cemetery near Beverly.
Visitation will be held Monday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 at the funeral home.
