
STEPHEN A. "HILG" HILGENBRINCK
Mr. Stephen A. "Hilg" Hilgenbrinck, 49, of Bickford Cottages, died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday (January 10, 2006) in his home.
Born August 9, 1956 in Quincy, Hilg was the son of Clarence Noel and Gloria Madonna Barron Hilgenbrinck. He married Deena M. Brown on May 1, 1976 in Quincy. She survives.
He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church. He was an avid deer hunter and was active with the Quinsippi Soccer League, Turner Hall bowling leagues and Knights of Columbus softball. Hilg had an amazing group of friends who kept him active with the many things he enjoyed.
A 1974 graduate of Quincy High School, he attended Western Illinois University before working as an N.C. Programmer for Gardner-Denver. He later worked as a tool maker at Kuester Tool & Die until his retirement.
Surviving are his mother, Gloria Hilgenbrinck of Quincy; two daughters, Trisha Hermsmeier and her husband Matt and Kerrie Hilgenbrinck both of Quincy; a son, Tad Hilgenbrinck of West Hollywood, CA.; two grandchildren, Colin and Devin Hermsmeier of Quincy; a brother, Peter Hilgenbrinck and his wife Karen of Center, MO.; a sister, Mary Hilgenbrinck of Hannibal, MO.; his father and mother in law, Al and Carol Brown of Quincy; two sisters in law, Dottie Newell and her husband Scott of Ursa, IL. and Donna Ragan and her husband Randy of Springfield, IL.; and several nieces and nephews.
Hilg was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Noel Hilgenbrinck; and three brothers, Marty Hilgenbrinck and twin brothers in infancy.
A memorial mass will be held Friday morning at 11:00 in St. Peter's Catholic Church by the Rev. Dan Bergbower.
Visitation will be Friday morning from 10:00 until the time of services at St. Peter's Catholic Church. The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to the Huntington's Disease Society of America.
