
TERRY D. HASTINGS
Terry D. Hastings, 54, of 920 Alexander Lane, Quincy, died at 7:12 p.m. Wednesday (April 25, 2007) in Blessing Hospital.
Born March 17, 1953 in Quincy, Terry was the son of Bonnie Rankin. He married Shelia Walker on May 26, 1971 in Quincy. She survives.
Terry was a member of Living Water Full Gospel Fellowship where he served as a board member and Gideon International. He enjoyed gardening and yardwork and was a volunteer cameraman at WTJR. He will be remembered as a "people person" who loved to spend time with his family and friends. Mr. Hastings served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Terry was employed as a truck driver for many years and was last employed by Hinton Motor Service until his retirement due to health reasons.
Survivors include his wife, Shelia; a daughter, Melissa Andrews of Tucson, AZ.; a son, Matthew Hastings and his fiance' Toni Johnson of Quincy; six grandchildren, Zachary Hastings, Alexis Andrews, Mollie Andrews, Matthew W. Hastings, Andrew Hastings and Emily Johnson; his mother and stepfather, Bonnie and Bob Exline of Quincy; three brothers, David Hastings and his wife Judy, Kevin Hastings and Randy Hastings and his wife Julie all of Quincy; three sisters, Linda Hastings, Christina Schroder and Diana Hastings all of Quincy; his father and mother in law, Ken and Betty Walker of Quincy; a sister in law, Karen Hainline and her husband Jerry of Quincy; a brother in law, Richard Walker and his wife Pauline of Quincy; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hastings was preceded in death his sister, Kathy Hastings; his maternal grandmother, Violet Hardy; an uncle, Leroy Rankin; and a sister in law, Deborah Clifton.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Pastor Jay Waters. Burial with Military Honors by Bear Creek American Legion Post 823 will be in New Providence Cemetery near Ursa.
Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Monday until the time of services at the funeral home.
