TERRY McCONNELL

Mr. Terry McConnell, 60, of 918 South 10th, Quincy, died at 4:34 p.m. Sunday (February 24, 2008) in Blessing Hospital.

Born August 22, 1947 in Quincy, Terry was the son of Harold and Rosalyn Lotz McConnell.

An avid reader, Terry went to the Library every Saturday. He enjoyed science fiction and studying various religions. He loved his family, especially his dog, Clutch. Terry served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

Terry was employed for 38 years at J. M. Huber, retiring in 2007.

Survivors include his mother, Rosalyn McConnell of Quincy; a brother, David McConnell and his wife Virginia of Quincy; three nephews, Trevor McConnell of Colorado Springs, CO., Chance McConnell and Ryan McConnell both of Quincy; and two nieces, Briana McConnell of Elgin, IL. and Tamara McConnell of Quincy.

Mr. McConnell was preceded in death by his father, Harold McConnell; and a brother, David McConnell Sr.

Graveside services will be held Thursday morning at 10:00 in Greenmount Cemetery by the Rev. Wanda Seydel.

Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home.
