
THOMAS W. COWAN JR.
Mr. Thomas W. Cowan Jr., 50, of 3422 Lindell, died at 10:57 p.m. Tuesday (September 27, 2005) in Blessing Hospital.
Born March 29, 1955 in Quincy, Tom was the son of Thomas W. and Norma Anders Cowan Sr.
Tom was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church. He was an avid bowler and St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed eagle watching and Nascar racing, being a fan of Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Tom was employed on the night maintenance crew at Wal-Mart and previously was employed for 20 years at McDonald's at 33rd and Broadway. He served his country in the U. S. Navy and the Illinois Army National Guard.
Surviving is his mother, Norma Cowan of Quincy; a sister, Patricia Ann Cowan of Quincy; and two Aunts, Ruth Lepper and Shirley Bevans both of Quincy; one Uncle, Charles Anders and his wife, Lauretta of Rensselaer, IN.; and several cousins.
Mr. Cowan was preceded in death by his father, Thomas W. Cowan Sr.; his grandparents; and two Aunts, Betty Benge and an Aunt in infancy.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Pastor Gary Zdziarski and Pastor Jeff Feil. Burial with Military Honors by Payson V.F.W. Post 2061 will be in Quincy Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 3:00 to 6:00 and Monday until the time of services at the funeral home.
