VIOLA MAE "VI" JONES

Mrs. Viola M. "Vi" Jones, 87, of 3625 Tonja Dr., died at 6:20 p.m. Tuesday (October 3, 2006) in Sycamore Health Care Centre.

Born August 25, 1919 in Beardstown, IL., Vi was the daughter of Oliver and Gusta Mae Cook Webster. She married Donald L. Jones on December 19, 1964 in Union United Methodist Church in Quincy. He survives.

Vi enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, fishing with her husband and being a "river rat."

She was employed as a waitress at various restaurants until her retirement from Courthouse Grill in 1981.

Also surviving are two daughters, Dona J. Lippert and her husband Norman of Lacon, IL. and Joyce A. Knight and her husband George of Quincy; two sons, Jerry D. Fisher of Mendon and James E. Tolle of Marion, OR.; a step son, Steven D. Jones of Quincy; ten grandchildren, Steve Lippert, Ric Lippert, Mark Lippert, Randy Lippert, Cheri Fisher, Brenda Fisher, Tracey Gross, Tammy Hogge, Justin Tolle and Jeremy Tolle; and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter in law, Jacquiline Tolle; an infant grandson, Jeremiah Tolle; two sisters, Ada Efaw and Inez Alexander; and three brothers, Walter "Bud" Webster and twins, Delbert and Wilbur Webster.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11:00 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Rev. Jerry Harris. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Monday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 and Tuesday morning until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Blessing Hospice or to the charity of the donor's choice.
