
VIRGIL H. WILLIAMS
Mr. Virgil H. Williams, 78, of Quincy, died at 12:09 a.m. Thursday (January 19, 2006) in Blessing Hospital.
Born July 31, 1927 in Quincy, Virgil was the son of Archie Homer and Wilhelmina Pfaffe Williams.
Virgil was employed at Bueter's Bakery for many years and then as a custodian at the Water Treatment Plant for the City of Quincy until his retirement. He was a member of the Bakery and Confectionery Union.
Survivors include two brothers, Charles E. "Charlie" Williams and his wife Donna of Quincy and George Williams and his wife Loraine of Winslow, AZ.; four sisters, Mona Williams and Becky Nelson and her husband Sonny both of Quincy, Betty Pulliam and her husband Jay of St. Charles, MO. and Pat Pattara of Chicago Ridge, IL.; a brother in law, Fred Williams of Mumford, TN.; a sister in law, Marie Williams; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Archie Williams; and a sister, Mauddine Williams.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Bryan Meado. Burial will be in Quincy Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 4:00 to 6:00 and Monday until the time of services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Quincy Humane Society or the Virgil Williams Memorial Fund.
