VIRGINIA W. "GINNY" EUSCHER

Miss Virginia W. "Ginny" Euscher, 90, of St. Vincent's Home, formerly of 720 Jefferson, died at 3:10 a.m. Tuesday (January 31, 2006) in St. Vincent's Home.

Born October 16, 1915 in Quincy, Ginny was the daughter of Frederick and Anna Burmeier Euscher.

Ginny was baptized and confirmed in Salem Evangelical United Church of Christ where she was an active volunteer. She taught Sunday School for 20 years and was a member of the church choir and Afternoon Guild. She loved helping others and was a volunteer in the Tea Room at Blessing Hospital for many years.

Ginny was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and was employed as an operator with Illinois Bell Telephone from 1933 until her retirement in 1969.

Surviving is her sister, Kathleen "Kay" Euscher of Quincy; and a God Daughter, Jill Boden and her husband Ralph of Quincy.

Miss Euscher was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Wanda Seydel. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be Friday morning from 9:30 until the time of services at the funeral home.
