VIRGINIA A. SCHERRER

Mrs. Virginia Aleta Scherrer, 89, of Good Samaritan Home, formerly of Beardstown, died at 3:55 a.m. Saturday (May 7, 2005) in the home.

Born July 28, 1915 in Chapin, Illinois, Virginia was the daughter of William and Edna Smith Henry. She married Joseph Scherrer on September 20, 1933 in Bluff Springs, Illinois. He died on January 25, 1999.

Mrs. Scherrer was a member of the Methodist Faith. She enjoyed listening to music and going to flea markets.

Survivors include a son, Ron Scherrer and his friend Kay Hudson of Quincy; two grandchildren, Tim Scherrer of Columbia, MO. and Terry Scherrer and his wife Bridget of Keller, TX.; four great grandchildren, Jonathan Scherrer of Keller, TX., Elizabeth Scherrer of Rochester, N.Y., Susan Scherrer of Homa, LA. and Teresa Scherrer of Ft. Worth, TX.; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Scherrer was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, Doyle Henry.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Morwell. Burial will be in the Beardstown City Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday morning from 9:30 until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Union United Methodist Church.
