VIVIAN CHRIST

Vivian Christ, 51, of 333 Royal Oaks Ave, Quincy went to be with her lord and savior at 12:55 am Sunday (February 7, 2010) in her home.

Born August 18, 1958 in Quincy, Vivian was the daughter of Herbert and Clara Baker Brown. She married Robert "Bob" Christ on October 6, 1976 in Quincy. He survives.

Vivian was a 1977 graduate of Douglas-Bird High School in Fayetteville, NC and was of the christian faith. She enjoyed dancing, fishing, listening to music, going to garage sales and going to the Atlantic Ocean beaches in Carolina and Florida. She loved being with her family especially with her grandchildren.

Vivian worked at Quincy Paper Box until its closing and then at Transitions of Western Illinois.

Survivors include her husband, Bob, two daughters Stephanie (Nicky) Hills and Dusty Christ both of Quincy; Five grandchildren Steven Carter, Tegan Christ, Alexia Cook, Blake Cook and Paige Hills all of Quincy; One brother Terrence (Bear) Brown and his wife Bonnie of Bowen, IL and three sisters Josie Day of Quincy, Laretha Benfield and her husband Dwayne of Hickory, NC and Leann Glesner and her husband Dan of Kemp, TX.

Mrs. Christ was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Roger Brown and one sister Dixie Brown.

Cremation rites have been accorded to Mrs. Christ. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday evening at 5:00 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with the Rev. Ivan Greuter officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 4:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Blessing Cancer Center or to the Blessing Foundation for Hospice.
