VIVIAN L. PAUL

Vivian L. Paul, 82, of 818 South 17th died at 5:15 pm Thursday (December 10, 2009) in Blessing Hospital.

Born December 18, 1926 in Richmond, MO. Vivian was the daughter of Charles E. and Alberta R. Reed Snider. She married Robert "Bob" Paul on June 9, 1945 in Gulf Port, MS. He preceded her in death on September 27, 2007.

Vivian was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church where she taught Sunday School for over 20 years. She was 1944 graduate of Brookfield, MO High School. She enjoyed swimming and volunteered giving swimming lessons to special needs children at the YMCA in Quincy for many years. She was devoted to her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In her early years she was a switchboard operator in Brookfield, MO. Later on she became an Avon lady for 35 years winning many awards for her work.

Survivors include two daughters Linda Goodwin and her husband Terry of Quincy; Janet Wester and her husband Mike of Quincy; four granchildren, Stephanie Powell and her husband Jim of Peoria, IL, Jolie Lilly and her husband Mike, Austin Wester, and Stacey Jones and her husband Lance all of Quincy; six great granchildren Timothy and Trevor Powell both of Peoria, IL, Brendan and Emma Kroeger both of Quincy and Sydney and Gannon Jones also of Quincy. Also surviving is one brother Charles E. Snider and his wife Linda of Columbia, MO, and a brother in law Joseph Potts and his wife Jude of Pleasant Hill, MO, and a special thanks to her care giver Nancy Gilker.

Mrs. Paul was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters Irma Speidel and Harriette Shiflit and one son in law Tim George and and one grand son in law Dan Kroeger.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1:00 pm in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Powell officiating. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 and Monday until time of services at the funeral home.
