WILLIAM L. VANDENBERG

William L. “Bill” Vandenberg, 78, of Morton, passed away at 2:30 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2007, at the Illinois Veterans Home of Quincy.

Bill was born April 26, 1929 in Rockford, IL to Donald and Estey (Reichenbach) Vandenberg.  He married Phyllis Wabel, September 14, 2001.   She survives.

Also surviving are his step sons, Greg (Lisa) Wabel of Washburn, Mark (Shari) Wabel of Groveland, and Gary Wabel of Morton, step-grandchildren, Zachary, Shelby & Hunter Wabel of Washburn, Leah & Samuel Wabel of Groveland, and Ashley, Austin & Anthony Wabel of Pekin, and cousin Marilynn (Gary) Williams of Minocqua WI.

His parents, wife Nancy Ryan Vandenberg, an infant son and sister Mary Ellen precede him in death.

There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will be accorded. Zehender, Robinson, Stormer, Cookson Funeral Home in Quincy is in charge of arrangements.
