
WANDA L. GALLAHER
Wanda L. Gallaher, 66, of 1004 Diana Dr., died at 12:00 p.m. Friday (February 8, 2008) in Blessing Hospital.
Born November 3, 1941 in Camp Point, Wanda was the daughter of Samuel and Edra Tournear Wright. She married Dale Gallaher on May 9, 1959 in Quincy. He survives.
Wanda enjoyed listening to country music, playing Bingo, dancing and going to the River Boat Casino.
She was employed at Quincy High School, Master Tank, Toueys Janitorial Service and then retired from the Hotel Elkton.
Survivors include her dear friend, Bill Cookson of Quincy; four sons, Walter Dale Gallaher Jr. of Quincy, Paul Gallaher and his wife Ruth of Quincy, William J. Gallaher and his wife Amy of LaPrairie and Rodney L. Gallaher of Quincy; two daughters, Wanda Edra Prince of Quincy and Claudelle Altgilbers and her husband James of Quincy; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; a sister Rose Wright and her friend Gary Oshner of Quincy; and several nieces and nephews.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter Britney Gallaher, a brother Frederick Rich, an infant sister Charlene Wright and a sister Wilma Whitfield.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Mickey Farlow. Burial will be in South Side Cemetery in Clayton.
Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 3:00 to 6:00 and until the time of the service on Monday.
