
WILMA JEAN ARROWSMITH
Mrs. Wilma Jean Arrowsmith, 75, of Fowler, Illinois, died at 1:02 p.m. Saturday (September 29, 2007) in Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.
Born October 18, 1931 in Ursa, Illinois, Wilma was the daughter of William and Edith Warning Schnelle. She married Robert E. Arrowsmith on June 17, 1953 in Quincy. He survives.
Wilma was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and enjoyed crocheting, going to craft shows and traveling to Branson, Missouri with her husband. Her greatest joy came in the time she spent with her family and she was excitedly awaiting the arrival of twin great grandchildren this December.
Wilma had been employed at Moorman Manufacturing and J. C. Penney. When her children were born, she devoted her life to raising and caring for her family.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; two daughters, Debbie Miller and her husband Harry of O'Fallon, MO. and Tracey Hieland and her husband Pat of Quincy; four sons, Brent Arrowsmith and his wife Tracy of Quincy, Randy Arrowsmith and his wife Cathy of Columbus, IL., Jay Arrowsmith and his wife Jennifer of Fowler, IL. and Scott Arrowsmith and his wife Elizabeth of Loraine, IL.; 17 grandchildren, Brad Miller, Shawn Miller, Sara Walls and her husband Brandon, Shane Hieland, Brady Hieland, Jenna Arrowsmith, Amber Woods and her husband Jeff, Samantha Rupp and her husband Brandon, Philip Arrowsmith, Corbin Arrowsmith and his wife Michelle, Cory Arrowsmith and his wife Stacy, Stacy Mixer and her husband Mike, Vance Arrowsmith, Olivia Arrowsmith, Caitlin Arrowsmith, Baylee Arrowsmith and Parker Arrowsmith; 8 great grandchildren; a sister in law, Phyllis Schnelle of Quincy; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Arrowsmith was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Irma Griffin; and two brothers, William Schnelle in infancy and Wilbur Schnelle.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Ivan Greuter. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and Thursday from 12:00 Noon until the time of services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
