Marjorie D. Anerino, 79, of the Good Samaritan Home, formerly of 328 Evergreen West, died at 7:15 p.m. Friday (February 1, 2002) in Blessing Hospital.

Born September 30, 1922, in Quincy, Illinois, Marjorie was the daughter of Enos and Helen Hoover. She married S. Leo Anerino, May 5, 1945, who preceded her in death on December 14, 2001.

Marjorie was a 1940 graduate of Quincy High School and was employed by the Quincy Council of Girl Scouts from 1940 until 1946 when she became a homemaker and a mother. During that time she was active in the Irving School PTA and other organizations. Later in life she became an Adams County Election Judge, a position she held for over 30 years.

During their retirement years Marjorie and her late husband traveled in the states and abroad.

Marjorie was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

Survivors include two sons, Gary Kurt Anerino and his wife Mary Anne of Zionsville, Indiana and Gregory Kent Anerino and his wife Ruth of Naperville, Illinois; four grandchildren, Todd, Brian, Eric and Scott Anerino, all of Naperville; and one brother, Earl Hoover and his wife Bonnie of Pagosa Springs, Colorado.

Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home and at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Boniface Catholic Church. Entombment will be in the Quincy Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the prayer service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Unit at Good Samaritan Home of Quincy in memory of her late husband S. Leo Anerino.
