Mrs. Estelle Mae Becker, 93, of Good Samaritan Home, formerly of 2620 Random Ct., died at 5:45 p.m. Thursday (September 4, 2003) in the home. Born December 19, 1909, in Honeybend, IL., Estelle was the daughter of Franklin Huett and Martha J. Singleton Stienbarger. She married Robert O. Becker on December 11, 1936 in Peoria, IL. He died February 1, 1996. Mrs. Becker was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the Good Samaritan Home Association, and the Good Samaritan Home Auxiliary. She was a graduate of Bradley University where she was a member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority. Surviving are her special friends, John and Karen Jones of Quincy, and their children, David and Kathy Jones of Hoffman Estates, IL., and Sharla and George Heightman of Quincy. Cremation rites were accorded to Mrs. Becker. Memorial services will be held Sunday afternoon at 1:00 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Pastors Kevin McGinnis and Rod Bakker. Private inurnment will be in Woodland Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held Sunday afternoon from 12:30 until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Good Samaritan Home or the Shriner's Children's Hospital. |
