| Betty June Bowles, 72, of 315 Vining, Plainville, Illinois, died Saturday (January 26, 2002) in Blessing Hospital. Born October 6, 1929 in Alton, Illinois, she was a daughter of Harold and Marie Emmons. She married James Hankins on March 20, 1952. She was then married to Floyd "Bud" Bowles on August 9, 1987. He survives. Betty was a member of the First Baptist Church in Plainville and a homemaker. Surviving are two daughters Donna Marshall of Plainville and Lisa Snow and her husband Daniel of Clarksville, Tennessee; eight Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren and many Honorary Grandchildren; one sister Dolores Clark and her husband William of Godfrey, Illinois; numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins; and her previous husband James Hankins and his wife Catherine of Barry, Illinois. Betty was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home, in Payson, Illinois by the Rev. Bill Knight. Burial will be in the Payson New Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services at 3:00. p.m. at the funeral home in Payson. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society. |
