Mrs. Monsilete "Mona"
Bowman, 86, of the St. Vincent's Home, formerly
of Chicago, Illinois, died at 8:05p.m. Monday (September 13, 2004) in
St.
Vincent's Home.
Born August 15, 1918 in Adams County, Illinois, Mona was the daughter
of Charles H. and Ethel York Bowman. She married Burnell W. Bowman in
Chicago, Illinois. He died January 8, 2004.
Mona enjoyed collectables and antiquing. She was employed at the John
Plains Company in Chicago for many years until her retirement.
Survivors include two brothers, Richard Bowman and his wife Jean of
Quincy and Charles Harold Bowman of El Paso, TX.; a sister, Doris Costa
and
her husband John of San Lorenzo, CA.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three
brothers, Raymond, Wendell and Lee Bowman; and an infant sister, Juanita
Bowman.
Graveside services will be Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 in the
Strawberry Point Cemetery in Strawberry Point, Iowa by Pastor Jason Cooper.
There will be no visitation, but friends are invited to the services.
The Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the
arrangements.
