| Mr. George R. Calaway, 75, of 1600 Seminary Road, died at 3:15 a.m. Friday (September 21, 2001) in his home. Born May 1, 1926 in Brown County, IL., Mr. Calaway was the son of Michael and Ethel Watt Calaway. He married Margaret Cleason on August 25, 1954 in Quincy. She died December 25, 1993. Mr. Calaway was employed as a Security Guard for Blessing Hospital for over 17 years, retiring in 1988. Also surviving is a brother, Earl Calaway of Quincy; and a sister, Nellie Calaway. Mr. Calaway was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a sister; and a brother. Graveside services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 in Greenmount Cemetery by the Rev. George Tomko. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. |
