EVERETT CARLSON SR.
Mr. Everett Carlson Sr., 82, of 1121 South Lyn Mar Drive, died at 11:00 a.m. Thursday (March 1, 2001) in Blessing Hospital.

Born December 5, 1918 in Richland, MO., Mr. Carlson was the son of J. Edward and Clara Fischer Carlson. He married Elva B. Nickels on July 24, 1937 in St. Charles, MO. She survives.

Mr. Carlson was a member of the Quincy Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing. He served in the U. S. Navy during WW II.

Mr. Carlson owned and operated Walter Chatten Company from 1975 until his retirement in 1985.

Also surviving are two sons, Everett Carlson Jr. and his wife Marlene and Roger Carlson and his wife Sally both of Quincy; five grandchildren, Carrie Edgar and her husband Mark, Penny Hutton and her husband Bruce, Lance Carlson and his wife Robin, Peggy Carlson and Chad Carlson all of Quincy; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Emily Sears of Richland, MO.; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Carlson was preceded in death his parents; a great grandson, Anthony Elmo Carlson; two brothers, C. Harold and Calvin Carlson; a sister, Wilma Kirkland;

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:30 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Basil Bevans. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Monday until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Quincy Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
