Miss Irma F. Carwell, 90, of the Good Samaritan Home, died at 12:15 p.m. Wednesday (October 10, 2001) in Good Samaritan Home.

Born November 21, 1910 in Lincoln County, MO., Irma was the daughter of Henry and Linda Hofmeister Carwell.

Irma was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was active with the mission programs. She taught piano and played for her Sunday School class for many years and was a member of the Women's Mission Group.

A graduate of Liberty High School and Western Illinois University, Irma was a teacher for many area schools, retiring after many years at Liberty Elementary School.

Surviving is an Aunt, Ruth Hofmeister of Quincy; and several cousins.

Irma was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Pauline Carwell.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. L.D.Grant. Entombment will be in the Kingston Cemetery Mausoleum.

Visitation will be Saturday morning from 9:00 until the time of services at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Kingston Cemetery Association.
