| Mrs. Virginia V. "Ginny" Clary, 70, of 1600 South 30th, died at 11:19 a.m. Friday (November 23, 2001)
in Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born October 28, 1931 in Quincy, Ginny was the daughter of Forrest Darwin and Lacene Bowman Cooley. She married Robert Bob Clary on February 25, 1965 in Quincy. He survives. Mrs. Clary was a member of Melrose Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a 1949 graduate of Quincy High School and Gem City Business College. She was a member of the Elks Auxiliary and RSVP. Her favorite activities were volunteering at Blessing Hospital and her card club. Ginny was an administrative assistant at Central Illinois Public Service Company for over forty years until her retirement in 1994. Also surviving are two daughters, Connie Hollender of Snellville, GA., and Susan Menke and her husband Paul Jr. of Albuquerque, NM; three grandchildren, Ross Hollender and his wife Angela of Jonesboro, GA., and Patrick and Amber Menke, both of Albuquerque, NM.; and one great granddaughter, Megan Kate Hollender of Jonesboro. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Ryan Hollender; and two sisters, Martha Olson, and Shirley Cooley. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon and 1:30 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. Roger Grimmett. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday until the time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, or Blessing Hospice. |
