Mr. Robert H. Clement, 74, of 600 Monroe, Quincy, died at 4:43 p.m. Monday (May 26, 2003) at Blessing Hospital. Born January 10, 1929 in Quincy, Robert was the son of Leslie Walter and Rosa Ann Henniger Clement. He married Ethel Maxine Powell on October 27, 1978 at Quincy. She survives. Robert was active in the Tri-State Alcoholics Anonymous Association and also served as the Treasurer of the Monticello, Missouri Chapter. He was also an AA Sponsor at the State Penitentiary in Ft. Madison Iowa. He served his country in the Marine Reserves and the Army. Robert was devoted to his family, especially his children and grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was employed as a Machinist for Motorola, Broadcast Electronics, and RAH Enterprises until his retirement. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Theresa Cheney and her husband Ronnie of Durham, Missouri; one son, Jeffrey L. Snow of Wellsville, Missouri; five grandchildren, Dawn Newton and her husband Shane of Durham, Veronica Bartz, Robert "Bo" Bartz and Sudaka Cheney all of Ewing, Missouri and Derrick Cheney of Quincy; five great grandchildren; two brothers, Donald R. Clement of Quincy and Leon Clement of California; one niece, Paula Heming and her husband Craig of Quincy; and one nephew, Richard "Dick" Clement of Columbia, Missouri. Robert was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. in Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by Rev. George Tomko. Burial will be in Greenmount Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 and Friday until time of services at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Robert H. Clement memorial fund. |
