Mrs. Nancy Cook, 71, of Sycamore
Health Care Centre, formerly of 1030
Madonna Drive, died at 5:20 p.m. Wednesday (August 25, 2004) at the home.
Born January 17, 1933 in Chicago, Nancy was the daughter of Howard
Anton and Elizabeth M. Goehring Back. She married Richard B. Cook on June
7,
1974 in Ocala, FL. He survives.
Mrs. Cook was of the Lutheran Faith. She attended the Art Institute
of
Chicago and was an active volunteer with the Friends of Library, Sunset
Home, and the Garden Museum.. Nancy was a past President of the Putnam
County Library Board for eight years and was on the Board of the Association
of Soil Conservation Service.
Mrs. Cook was employed as the manager of the Soil Conservation District
in Putnam County in Unionville, Missouri, retiring in 1994.
Surviving is her husband, Richard B. Cook of Quincy; a sister, Mrs.
Elihue "Loetta Jane" Pipes of Unionville, MO.; a nephew, Dennis
K. Pipes of
Seattle, WA.; and a sister in law Jeanne Kizer of Champaign, IL.
Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by parents; a sister, Marian M.
Anderson; and a nephew, Michael T. Anderson.
Mrs. Cook donated her body to medical science. A memorial service will
be held Monday August 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Sycamore Health Care Center.
