Mrs. F. Elizabeth Deege, 85, of Sunset Home, died at 1:50 a.m. Monday (April 19, 2004) in Sunset Home. Born June 16, 1918 in Quincy, Elizabeth was the daughter of William and Lillian Avise Sprague. Elizabeth enjoyed being an active volunteer with the Quincy Service League and Blessing Hospital. She was also an avid bridge player and loved to sing. Survivors include a daughter, Diana McClelland and her husband Louis of Quincy; a son, Jon Michael "Mike" Deege and his wife Donna of Des Moines, IA.; seven grandchildren, Chris Dougherty of Quincy, Jon Eric Dougherty and his wife Shelly of Jefferson City, MO., Shane McClelland and his wife Jana and Michael McClelland and his wife Sally both of Hannibal, MO., Scott Deege and his wife Lora, Abby Elliott and her husband Jason and Libby Deege all of Des Moines, IA.; ten great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter; and two nieces. Mrs. Deege was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Patricia Pearce. Friends are invited to the visitation Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home. Private family graveside services will be held in Woodland Cemetery by Chaplain Susan Bays. The family wishes to thank Elizabeth's caregivers on 4 Southern View at Sunset Home and at Blessing Hospice and asks that memorials in her honor be made to Sunset Home or the Blessing Foundation for Hospice. |
